Porcelain Veneers

You no longer need to hide your smile because of gaps, chips, stains, or misshapen teeth. With veneers, you can easily correct your teeth’s imperfections to help you have a more confident, beautiful smile. Veneers are natural in appearance and are a perfect option for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile.

Porcelain veneers can help you achieve the ideal smile you have always wanted by concealing perceived flaws and reshaping your teeth to reflect the smile characteristics you find most aesthetically appealing.

Porcelain veneers are a simple concept with an elegant application.

What are veneers?

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells made from tooth-colored materials such as porcelain. They are designed to cover the front side of your teeth. To prepare for veneers, your doctor will create a unique model of your teeth. This model is sent to a dental technician who creates your veneers. Before placing your new veneer, your doctor may need to conservatively prepare your tooth to achieve the desired aesthetic result.

When your veneers are placed, you’ll be pleased to see that they look like your natural teeth. While veneers are stain-resistant, your doctor may recommend that you avoid coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco to maintain the beauty of your new smile.

We make the process simple.

How are veneers applied?

Porcelain veneers are applied over the course of two visits to Artisan Dental. The first phase of treatment is the tooth preparation, during which a small amount of tooth enamel is removed from the front side of each tooth to accommodate the thickness of the veneer and evenly align the tooth surfaces. A local anesthetic may be administered to mitigate any potential discomfort during preparation.

Once the teeth are prepared, Dr. Ghannam will help you select the color of your veneers and take a mold of your teeth, which will be sent to the dental lab to create the veneers. If you are only receiving one or two veneers, the tooth color should be closely matched to the surrounding teeth to create the most natural-looking results. However, if you are receiving veneers on all of your visible teeth, you can select a whiter, brighter shade than your natural teeth for a brilliant smile makeover. At the end of your appointment, Dr. Ghannam can apply temporary veneers to protect your teeth while your custom veneers are being fabricated.

Within one to two weeks, your custom porcelain veneers should arrive from the dental lab and Dr. Ghannam can complete the final fitting for your veneers. Each veneer will be firmly bonded to the prepared teeth with a strong, long-lasting adhesive. Once attached, the veneers are carefully shaped around the edges and the surfaces are polished to a shine.
